The astragal was fitted and the door edges were mortised for

the locking hardware.

Every mullion, style and rail were hand and machine sanded

After sanding, the Mahogany was stained to darken the hue.

I did this by adding a penetrating oil based stain to a "Varnish Oil"

of our own formula.

Here is the arduous process of wiping down the remaining stain~oil.

There were 6 coats of our "Oil Varnish" applied over a 2 week period.

The finish should be renewed with one coat of oil each year in the spring.

The hand beveled glass is set with spacers so that the glass "floats"

behind the stops. Then each stop was cut, fitted, and set with

stainless steel fasteners.
